Dr. Stephen Downing is a North Carolina-based teacher, composer, and performer.
He holds a PhD in Music Composition and a Master’s of Music from Duke University, along with a Bachelor’s in Music Performance from the University of Tennessee-Martin.
Currently, he is the Director of Bands at Orange High School and serves as a program consultant at several schools in North Carolina.
An internationally performed composer, his works have been showcased across the US as well as internationally in Canada, Europe, and Japan.
